The Nordic subsidiary opened in 2014 in Copenhagen, and today, two committed sales representatives are working from there, focusing on the Danish, Swedish, Norwegian and Finnish markets. Initially, this will be your team, but the aim is to expand the Nordic team with two more employees in the near future.
Key objectives of the job
Working from IBSA’s office in central Copenhagen, and reporting directly to IBSA’s Commercial Manager in Switzerland, you will be overall responsible for managing and developing the Nordic Sales team with a specific focus on developing the sales strategies and putting into effect the plan for future growth in the Nordic markets. In cooperation with the Commercial Manager, you will set the strategic and commercial direction for the Nordics and ensure the continuous and targeted sales efforts of the team.
Your main responsibilities
As IBSA’s new Regional Sales Manager you will be responsible for the following working areas:
- Sales of pharmaceutical products to private and public hospitals, fertility centers, pharmacies etc.
- Coordinating and managing a team of 2 sales representatives
- Managing the Regulatory Affairs related to the Nordic region
- Undertaking lobbying activities among local authorities to promote products distribution
- Managing the logistics matters to fulfill the needs of importers, retailers and other players of the pharmaceutical market
- Contributing to evaluate and monitor the profitability of the assigned market
- Analyzing the market to propose business development measures
- Elaborating market and competitor analysis
Sales in the Nordics is oriented toward product areas mainly related to Endocrinology, Fertility and Dermatology. But other areas may also become relevant. Your typical client relations will be doctors, physicians etc. Travel activities in all four Nordic countries are to be expected.
Your professional and personal qualifications
Being the ideal candidate, we presume that you possess the following qualifications:
- Academic degree within natural sciences such as chemistry, biology, pharmaceuticals
- A professional background in the pharmaceutical industry
- Network in the business will be an advantage
- Sales experience – preferably from the pharmaceutical business
- Management experience and strong leadership qualities
- Strong business acumen and a capability of building relationships at all levels

The job requires that you are fluent in written and spoken Danish and English. You are also expected to be at ease with communicating in the Scandinavian languages.
